No serious reason to not use ProRes 4444 IMHO. The reason uncompressed might be better is the fact that when a render happens, the computer doesn't have to uncompress the compressed file, add the filter or whatever, then recompress it back to the codec set in the sequence. This results in a no loss render. ProREs is darn close though. Also believe it or not, Uncompressed renders faster... because it doesn't have to un then re compress...
