	HDV to ProRes capture...created files don't have extension? by Jason Brown on Nov 2, 2009 at 3:16:58 pm Hey Guys, I'm using a capture from HDV to ProRes...and the machine I do it on...files are in the browser, playable...editable...no problems until I move to another machine. It can't reconnect because the files are "text files" that's what the OS recognizes them as. I simply add the .mov extension to the files and they are instantly recognized as quicktime movies and playable in the OS...and "re-connect-able" in FCP. You can switch it on at the Finder level. Normally suffixes are hidden.
