Blu-Ray for replication

Having just finished my first serious Blu-Ray project I thought I'd report back my experiences and ask advice for the future.
No problems shooting/editing. Shot XDcamHD&EX edited Prores. Exported mpeg and aac.
As we didn't need any menus I burnt test blu-rays via Toast and they worked flawlessly.
I then came to try and get them replicated and would have preferred glass mastering as we were thinking about 1000 in the first instance.
The replication house told us that the submitted disk was unsuitable for mastering and none of their in-house engineering could make it so. So we had to go for duplication.
Can I ask what BD authoring packages those of you that are making Blu-ray disks in quantity are using as I'd really like to get this dupication issue sorted before we're ready again.

You need to use either Scenarist, Blu Print or Do Studio for titles that need to be replicated. Use also need to make sure you're using a spec compliant encoder. Unfortunately, there will be a major expense on your part to do this. Best to have it done by a seasoned authoring facility. Also duplication is not a good idea for larger quantities. You can be guaranteed they will not play on everyone's player.
Another option is Blu Streak which will create a CMF image for replication:

That's a CYA statement since BluRay players require the end use to actually update them from time to time. Not sure how many consumers figure that one out. This is one reason I like the Samsung players so much. You can put the update on a USB stick and run it that way.

Paid $1,000 for the Sony BDP-S1 when it came out. Now the Samsung is under $200 most places and I would not be surprised to see a $99 or less BluRay player on "Black Friday" this year.
