Handing off to Eyeon Fusion Artists
by Kevin Monahan on Oct 27, 2009 at 6:16:45 pm

Hi Guys,
At the closing stages of editorial and we are ready to lock picture and hand everything off to Fusion artists in Poland. They want access to multilayer composites for VFX integration, grading, etc.

They want .dpx files, however what do you do when you have multiple layers comps? Render out Comps for each layer in AE? A new sequence for each layer for FCP and Motion FX?

Wondering if anyone else has been down this path.

FCP 7
Snow Leopard
Mac Pro
2x Quad-Core Intel Xeon
2.26 GHz
6 GB RAM

they would need each layer (element?) as a separate DPX stack?

or a masked comp sequence?

got to be more specific with them about how they want the files delivered.

Thanks Gary,
I have my producers talking to the guys right now. I'm shocked they didn't have exacting delivery specs. I've been asking for them from the get go.

Find out what they want and how they want it.
Exactly!
