What Mac Pro should I buy?
by Joel Mielle on Sep 22, 2009 at 5:25:31 am

As i'm converting from Sony Vegas Pro to Final Cut Pro, I'm wondering if there's any tips on the best Mac Pro set up for HD editing. Is a raid necessary and if so what are the best drives. I've been told Western Digital 7200rpm are more reliable. Are their faster drives available? How much ram is recommended, I'm looking at 8 gigs is that enough? Is the standard graphics card good enough or do I need something better? And most of all, is there a new Mac Pro out soon or is the 2.26GHZ 8 core the latest one? Is the apple protection care worthwhile? Any further info would greatly be appreciated as I am a PC pro but a Mac Novice!

Thanks, Joel.
