Converting 59.94 to 23.98 for SD DVD

I have a short film shot (accidentally I believe) in 59.94. I decided to edit in Final Cut in a 59.94 sequence. I need to color correct, in After Effects, and then go to DVD eventually. I am wondering what the best workflow is for converting to 23.98? I tried recapturing from the p2 cards with remove advance pulldown on, but it made all the clips slow motion?
Ideally I wanted to just render to 23.98, maybe in after effects?
Looking for the faster way possible, since I am on a deadline...

There is no reason for you to make a 23.98 DVD. You should make a 29.97 DVD, and then you won't have to worry as much about the quality of the conversion. going from 59.94 to 23.98 can create bad motion artifacts.
