Frozen Frames in capture
by Ronald Thomas on Sep 16, 2009 at 6:04:57 am

I am capturing from mini DV and I'm getting frozen frames within FCP 6.0.6. The video freezes for a moment but the audio goes on and the T/C continues. It happens randomly and infrequently, but it's a problem and it's happened more than once. The tapes appear fine. The video plays through with no problem. It's only in the capture. Any words of advice? Any place to start looking?

this is a issue because your scratch disks are not fast enough.

Thanks, but I've troubled shot that and it's not the problem. I've experienced the problem in different projects, using different discs.
