How to get a list of images and clips used in FCP project or sequence

Hope this isn't a dumb question. We are producing a DVD series about motorcycle travel, and have finished 2 of the 4 DVDs. Each DVD has its own FCP project and a sequence for each chapter of the DVD.
We have thousands of still images and contributed video clips that can be used to supplement the interviews and demonstrations, but want to avoid re-using media within the series.
So my question is: how can I easily find/create a list of images and clips that have been used in a project or the sequences that make it up, so that I can ensure they are not inadvertently reused in the last 2 DVD projects?
Is exporting as an EDL and then editing within a text editor to find all instances of .jpg the best way?
I realize that if the media had been organized better in the first instance, this wouldn't be a problem, but we are where we are!

Export a batch list.
All the best,

Tom,
Thanks for the suggestion. Export as a Batch List would seem to be ideal, but I am having trouble with getting it to work reliably.
The one time I got it to create a full list, I think it is producing a list of every image and file in the entire project, not just those in the 10 sequences I want.
But when I select individual sequences and Export as a Batch List, I get a list with headings only. Any ideas as to what am I doing wrong?

Susan,
You might want to look into Exporting to Markers List as Text
In this case you would obviously need to add markers to each clip (the first frame of each, maybe?) prior to exporting. The resulting text file will be much more customized with less information. In fact comments added to markers will be displayed in the text doc as well.

Adding markers in would have been a brilliant idea had it been done at the time. Unfortunately, it's over 5 hours of sequences and heaps of images and clips, so not going to happen until some spare time presents itself!
I did manage to get a list out by exporting as EDL, then a lot of work in a text editor, but done now. Just hoping for a simple solution. Note to self - impose discipline on project now!
