Importing text from a text file

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to create a project in FCP 6 (or alternatively Live Type 2 / Motion 3 in which case the Live Type or Motion project would be imported to FCP) that would read the contents of a specific text file and place the contents to text effect fields within the project? Ie. every time the project would be opened it would update the contents in case of changes.

If importing cannot be done with FCP's basic functionality are there any plugins that could possibly do it.

I've heard of this being done with After Effects, but it has a robust scripting component. It sure would be useful.

I think Shake has that scripting capabilities too.
