Panasonic AJHD1200A sound capture

Ok so I'm capturing some old footage onto my Mac with a Panasonic AJHD1200A. Without realizing it, I captured on FCP without sound. Ive fugured out how to do fix the problem since then and everything is capturing fine. I herd through the grape vine that there is a way to use the devise to add the sound without having to re-capture. Is this true? If so, How?

I have never heard of this. I owned that deck for 2 years and then traded it in for the 1400. Once you capture, you have a completed file. There's no way to magically add audio or video to captured file.
