Have you tried the Primatte keyer in Motion? It's also now in FCP7.

Keylight (which has been a keying mainstay in AE for the last few versions) is now available for FCP. I prefer Keylight, but they're both excellent keyers.

I agree with John.
Keylight for FCP is great and I believe it does a better job than Primatte in Motion. For good basic keying it works very well without the hassles of exporting your media to another app. Although you have finer control of Keylight in AE if you are working with problematic green or blue screen footage or want to do more complex compositing.

Roger is talking about the Red Giant plugin, not the Primatte keyer that's built into Motion... they are different. Primatte Keyer Pro is definitely worth investing in if you have the $$.
I've used the native filters in FCP/Motion & Keylight in AE, and I prefer (by far) the Red Giant plugin. It slows your render times 2x, but it takes seconds to set up and pull a key... and does incredible work on poor footage.
If you have Lynda.com there are some very useful demos that compare this plug-in against other like keyers. Check this out if you can (you can do a 1 day free trial if it's worth your research time).

I've been hearing a lot of really good things about the Primatte Keyer from Red Giant. Thats why I came on here to ask people who've actually used it against other keyers. I've been hearing the same things over and over.

I thought Red Giant software had the "feature" of "buy one, use for all" as in buy one plug-in and use it for all host-apps. I might be wrong in this however…
I'm also looking for other alternatives to the Keylight plugin in After Effects. It often does the trick but not always and Keylight looks at a keying jobb different to Primate if I'm not misstaken (i.e. the outcome of a key can vary).
Primate for Motion vs "the real deal" from Red Giant is hard to compare. The Motion plug-in was built for speed (realtime keying). I would also say depending on what you do, the choice of keyer or application / workflow can also vary a lot. DV Matte from dvGarage has proven to be very impressive before and it's only 199 dollars.
