Howdy all
ok been doing this trade fir over 20 years from 2 inch to SaS to SAN - I would like to think I am a expert on the mac land but I have never seen this !
Just started my own company and bought a mac pro 2 x 2.66 8 gig ram - no news there - installed fcs2 and made a quick cluster and to my surprise I magically gave my 16 processors !! All working - anyone seen this before ???!!!

Congratulations. Your mac has 2 chips, each of which have 4 processors embedded. Welcome to the new Intel processors. They are able to handle two threads at the same time. So you are correct in seeing 16 processes.

HYPERTHREADING !!!
Just talked to my supplier - NMR.com and they have informed me that the new processors are hyperthreading ... haven't heard that word in MAC land for ages ... so sorry for the propaganda everyone !!
