FCP Freeze Frame
When I was saving TIFF stills on a recent project, I noticed that filter plug-ins (Flip and 3-way Color) were not being included in Freeze Frames (shift-N). I ended up nesting the entire sequence and then filters were included in the Freeze Frame. Then I tried to verify this on my laptop, and Freeze Frames were including filters. I'm not sure if it was because of a different codec (10bit uncompressed vs ProRes HQ on the laptop) or maybe because the laptop is FCP 6.0.6 and the tower is 6.0.5?

Weird

Freeze Frames are derived from the master clip so should have no filters added.

No, not true. Most of the time I'm clearly getting the result of plug-ins applied. It just isn't totally consistent.

What a trip. It's always worked like that in the past. Let me take another look at this.

Nope. Freeze frames can be the result of as many layers as you have in your sequence. It's one of the things FCP excels at. But yes, I've noticed they don't include the filters usually. Which would lead you to believe they're coming from the original clip.
