capturing 24PsF
by Jake Martin on Jun 23, 2009 at 12:09:44 pm

Hi

I am working a project which was transferred to tape at 24PsF

I have a blackmagic extreme card but I cannot get it to see anything with I set the FCP codec and JH 3 Deck to to 24PsF. I have tried every one on my system but still no picture. It's fine when I set the deck to 25Fps and the codec is set to HDTV 50i. I am also using TC CONV in the JH 3.

I am just checking that I am doing the right thing and won't end up a huge headache at the end. I am also doing a lot of slow motion and I am trying eliminate as much judder as possible which I'm assuming will be reduced if I capture at the frame rate of the source material.

Thanks for reading and I hope you can help.

Jake
