Sub Clip audio is out of sync

Okay, so I have just stumbled on one of the most annoying problems in the world.
I am running FCP 5.0.1 on my macbook pro.
I captured all my footage as one big file, then I cut it up into segments by making them into sub clips. I re-title it and organize them by topic.
Then I have this problem.
All of the audio from my sub clips are our of sync, but when I preview it they are perfectly fine. Can some one tell me how to avoid this? How to fix this? or how to just prevent this from happening? Also I want to know why this is happening. It is really annoying. HEEEEELLLLP. and Thank you in advance =)

Help if you had included infor about your format. I presume DV.
Yes, this is a known issue with subclipping DV in FCP5, especailly if your footage was shot with a Canon, and I don't have this problem in FCP6.
It gets worse, on my friend's FCP5 system the further you get form the start of the master capture media. Best reason to use log and capture and get the clips as individual media. I know of no way to cure this, I just hunkered down and resynced individual clips where necessary. Fortunately, most were nat sound.

One thing you may try (before re-capture)
Open the movie in QT Player Pro and check the sync there - doing it somewhere close to the end of the movie. If you got luck the movie is in sync.
Now set an In and Out in the player window, copy create a new player window and paste.
Save this movie as referenced (or self-contained which is saver) and import into FCP.
Check the sync.
If it works, do your edits in QT Player for each clip.
