Strange Issue with Audio Mixer
by Richard Sanchez (Evil Ash Editor) on Nov 7, 2008 at 12:11:19 am

I've been trying to adjust audio levels in my current project without having to open the clip in the viewer, but I find that frequently when I use the audio mixer's fader to adjust the level, as soon as I release the mouse button, the fade shoots up to 12. If I open the clip in the viewer and drag the keyframes down it works fine, but for some reason the mixer likes to shoot up to 12 when I adjust the clips levels. Has anybody encountered this issue?

Richard,

Jeeze, sounds like "Spinal Tap" gone one better. I'd trash prefs for a start.

Have a wonderful day.

Yeah, it's a bit of a bummer. I recently bought an Alpha Track to aid in mixing, and I thought it was a problem with the Alpha Track until I realized Final Cut was doing it in the Audio Mixer without the Alpha Track. A bummer indeed.
