I decided to upgrade my RAM today but I don't think FCP is using it properly or maybe FCP just can't see it. In the system settings only about 65% is listed, even if I set it to 100%. Any ideas?

Hey Adam, Download "Rember" for free and it will test your ram for you. You can also run Apple Hardware Test disc which should have been included with the machine. If you use rember, it will tell you there's an error and you'll have to do a trial and error by pulling the modules out and rerunning Rember to ID the bad module. Hope this helps!
Kind Regards,
