Page Peel ,problem

I am using the page peel effect between two layers. If I print to tape out of the timeline the effect plays fine. If I export to a self contained Quicktime movie when I play the movie back the effect cuts to the layer I am going to and I only see the shadow of the effect peeling away. What gives? The effect doesn't need to be rendered!

[Bruce Lambert]"The effect doesn't need to be rendered!" Your Mac is giving you a preview in RT. This doesn't means that your effect doesn't need to be rendered. All the effects (filters or motion effects) need to be rendered. Select all your sequence ad click Option-R to force a Render-All.

There's also a chance you have a corrupt timeline. Create a new timeline and copy and paste your project into it... render and export. See if that helps.

Some effects look different in preview mode compared to the final rendered video. This is because some plugins use different (speed optimized) routines with a lower quality for the preview mode. It is possible that the filter you use is just buggy.
Do you use the internal page peel effect of FCP or one from a 3rd party developer ?
