Hello,
Here is my question:
I am trying to export my sequence from FCP 6 to a quicktime movie.
My sequence settings are set to 1440x1080, 10 bit uncompressed.
I am trying to export this sequence, which is about 30 mins long, no audio, only scrolling text (which was generated in Boris - - so no actual DV or footage from a camera in sequence) to a Quicktime movie, 10 bit uncompressed, 720x480 (16:9) and I keep getting the error message that the file size is too big.
The project is running from an external hardrive, but the export is being saved to another hardrive with over 460 gigs free.
I am confused???
Im running this same set up on another g5, with FCP 6, 3ghz, 4 gigs of ram and it went smoothly. Not sure why I am having problems with this one.

Are you applying any kind of effect? I get a similar warning when I try to apply GPU effects to 1080 material. Say that my Graphic card is not enough for that size. With 720 stuff, no problem.

Yes, I do have numerous effects on my text clip - mainly a deflickering and a deinterlacing one and other stuff to make the scrolling text a bit more fluid and not janky.
but i figured out what my particular problem was:
The drive I was using as my destination for my QT export was not formatted correctly, so I plugged the drive back in, went into Disk Utilities, and formatted it for MAC OS X (unjournaled)
And BAM ! it worked. I think previously it was formatted as FAT32 which only would allow like 3 or 4 gigs to be saved. Im not sure what else, but this worked.
