Shane Ross -- Help! P2 Import Trouble

Shane (or others),
I have received footage from a two camera (HVX-200) shoot recorded on one camera to P2 cards (all file structure intact) and the other to a Firestore. Despite the best efforts to ensure that the same recording format was used in each camera, I am seeing different results from the two batches of footage.
Camera 1 - P2
1) When coming into FCP through Log & Transfer, I can't hear more than the first 10-15 seconds of audio... even though I can see four channels of audio tickling the meters in the "Import Settings" window. Same thing with the clips in FCP after Import, except that the meters aren't moving after import.
2) Clips in the FCP bin show up as 23.97 at DVCProHD 720p60. But no matter how I set-up the sequences, I can't get any of the audio to sync up. It seems the video is running WAY slow compared to the audio (when I can hear the audio). I have tried a 23.97 sequence, a 29.97 sequence, a 60p sequence... none display audio and video in sync.
3) Trying to use the DVCPro HD Frame Rate Converter displays an error that the file cannot be processed.
Camera 2 - Firestore
There are some glitches in the video (digital dropout) which I attribute to the poorly maintained camera. In all other respects the footage works fine. Problem is, this was the B-camera.
Any suggestions on what I can do to get the P2 media working correctly would be greatly appreciated.
System - FCP 6.0.4, MacPro 2.66 OS 10.4.11, Kona 2, 8GB RAM, 8TB RAID

Would that be answer #35 or #36?
;-)
Thanks Shane. It seems counter intuitive to have to "uncheck" the option to remove pulldown for 24P footage recorded over 30, since removing pulldown is exactly what I presumed needed to be done.
Does this have something to do with the fact that it's not 24fps being turned into 30fps, but rather 60fps being converted into 24fps (23.97)?

#36. #35 deals with FCP 4.5 and higher versions of QT.

Yes. If you shot any format that DOES NOT require pulldown, like 720p 24PN or 720p 60p or 1080i60, then this can cause issues.
