has anyone seen this behavior before
by Jan Bliddal on Sep 9, 2008 at 3:37:33 pm

I have justed finished my first HDV edit yesteday and thought i would like to export it as an self contained movie based on a suggestion from Larry Jordan. The Video is 85min long and it did take some time to make the movie. When exporting it I chose with DVD Studio Pro markers. When it had finished I decided to import it into iTunes just to see if iTunes could use the chapter markers. It turned out that it could
sort of. Problem is that it has replaced the start marker normally generated i DVD studio pro My first real marker is now the start marker and all my markers is off by on marker. Has any one experienced that behavior before and does anyone know how to solve that problem.

Well, I don't know for sure but what a suggestion would be to try and reexport the movie, except this time physically put a starter marker in the timeline or rename and use DVDSPs first marker so that it becomes a 'legit' marker.

Make sense?

I thought about your first suggestion and did place a start marker. But Final Cut indicated that it would discard the marker. I am trying to reexport it with an extra marker just to see if it makes any difference.

Let the machine work for you. Not you for the machine

Have you gone into DVDSP and renamed the first marker there?

Sorry, these are all just suggestions and I am not sure if they work. Just trying to help as this is an interesting topic.
