ProRes Export Question
by Chris Anderson on Sep 6, 2008 at 3:12:04 pm

My project mainly consists of HDV 1920x1080 60i so my sequence settings are HDV but set to render in ProRes. All the After Effects graphics are being rendered as ProRes 1440x1080.

For one chroma key segment, I shot in DVCPRO HD 1080 60i. I was planning on exporting a movie and importing back into the HDV sequence so I wouldn't have to keep rendering. Should I use the ProRes 1920x1080, ProRes 1440x1080 or the AJA Kona ProRes 1920x1080 size. The rendering time is about 8hrs so i want to get it right.

Thanks for the help,
-Chris

To avoid further rendering try to export with the size AND THE PIXELS ASPECT of your sequence. If your sequence is already 1920x1080 Square pixels, use those same settings.

Probably 1440.

Do a 1 second test first.

If you're keying within FCP and using a 1440 timleine, just export @ current settings.
