importing video
by Del'Shawnda Chambers on Aug 27, 2008 at 3:56:25 pm

hello,
I'm going to try this again. I shot some footage using a Panasonic SDR-H200. I'm working with MPEG footage. The software I'm using to import my footage from the camera to my MBP is Imagemixer 3. When I capture the footage off of the camera to the Mac Book Pro, Video and Audio is there. When I preview the footage in Quick Time, the video and audio is there. But, when I import my footage into FCP,and play clips in the viewer, the audio isn't there. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Any suggestions?

FCP does not wuork with mpeg video. mpeg is a delivery format. YOu need to use something like mpegstreamclip to convert your footage to a format that is usable by FCP.
