FCP capture, TC & compatibility problems with JVC BR-HD50 deck
by jeanine olsen on Aug 22, 2008 at 11:40:23 am

I’d like to know how to adjust my FCP & configure my settings in order to digitize video with correct & continuous TC. Preferably w/o TC breaks every time the camera pauses or stops. I have 100+ hours of video…What’s the setting? How can I digitize my HD video w/o constant TC breaks. Not quite sure what is happening as I’m digitizing in video…

Bottom line—shot w/ JVC GY-HD200 cameras, using JVC Pro HD MINI dv tape stock and use a JVC BR-HD50 deck and edit on the most recent (6.03 update) version of FCP. I’ve had SO many problems getting my deck to communicate w/ FCP.

I’ve encountered so many problems with this configuration and I’ve consulted, spoke to & even hired “a few experts” to tackle this problem.

Unlike most of you, I’m not tech-savvy or a fcp guru—rather I’m a mere tenured-producer who started her own prod co…

I need a straight answer boys…

…would love one…

Cheers!
