Final Cut settings for Capturing HD
by john keough on Aug 14, 2008 at 5:06:44 pm

Hello, I need help setting up a Final Cut Pro project for HD capture. I have Final Cut 5.0.4 and I will be capturing from a JVC 100U 24P camera with JVC ProHD MiniDV tapes. I was hoping to get help with any codecs I may need, the capture settings, and project settings I will need. Thank you for any help.

I dont think that 5.0 supports your 24p HDV like your camera uses. You will need 5.1 or newer.

There are no "technical solutions" to your "artistic problems".
Don't let technology get in the way of your creativity!
