I'm new to LW 8 so this may be a stupid question. I'm working on a model and it seems that after quiting, when I re-open the file, the most currect changes have not taken place . . . . I can only get those changes to be permanent when I export the obj and load it into another project. I noticed that the "save as" command is located in two places . . . .one in the normal (Mac) location under "File" but also in the control"tool bar" in LW8 . . .are they the same . . .am I doing something wrong ?

If you are working in Layout, then you have to save objects in a separate step...Layout's Save command applies to the scene file, but not the objects (including changes to surfaces, distortions, etc).
If you're working in Modeler, then I dunno what to tell you.

Hi Doug,
I'm working in Modeler actually. It's no big deal as long as I remember to export the object and don't depend on my project to re-open as I last
worked in it.

When you make changes and save are you using "save" or "save as"? If you "save as" you're creating a seperate object. You may be opening the original object and not the one you made changes to. That's the only thing that makes any sense.
