Livetype with XDCAM footage

hey guys, I was wondering if LiveType can handle HD footage running in the background?
i am working with XDCAM EX 1080 25p, I sent my video to livetype (place in background) but when I play it it feels so "heavy" things move so slowly and the image looks split in two!!!
amI missing anything here?

We run XDCam 1080i 60 VBR and it works well in LiveType. To speed things up I usually export a still of my GFX background, place that in LiveType and render out the Text only. Of course if your text needs to move around during the length of the GFX Background a still image of it won't do.

Also check that your project preferences for Preview is set to DRAFT instead of normal.
