Aliased LiveType in FCP After Render
by Kat Pungdumri on Jun 3, 2009 at 3:11:09 am
Hello,
I saved my LiveType file and added it to FCP. When I open it in the canvas and viewer at 100% it is crisp. However, when rendered it's aliased. Any insight appreciated.

Thanks, Sjon for the suggestion. I'm not familiar with the settings but I looked at both my FCP sequence settings and LT settings to match as best as possible. Still, looked the aliased in FCP, though I don't have a monitor and will try burning on a DVD and playing it. I noticed from an old post someone suggests to change the FCP settings'QuickTime Video Settings from DV/DVCPRO - NTSC to 10bit Uncompressed 4:2:2. I tried that and it looks better but still not as good as what appears on LT. If you have a chance, do you mind taking a look at my FCP and LT settings here:

You see in the FCP settings where it say CCIR 601 NTSC? I set my LT settings to CCIR 601 NTSC 40:27 and I always get a clean image (it's the first one in the pull down). Your height shows 6.67 inches at 72 dpi, whereas mine shows 6.75 @ 72 dpi. Might make a difference.
