Converting 4:5 to 16:9 (PAL)

Hi Guys,
I am new to Live Type and am having problems converting 4:5 ratio to HD (1440x1080)16:9 ratio (PAL).
I am importing my rendered movie (ie a background) into Final Cut Pro (6) but although the sequence settings in FCP are the same, the Livetype does not play back smoothly.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The HTDV (16:9) setting in the Project Properties is not PAL but NTSC. Make sure you change the playback rate to 25 fps for PAL.
