LT for web

Does it matter as to project settings that my final destination is for the web? I'm editing dv footage and I'm using the NTSC dv 3:2 preset on a 29.97 timeline. I've heard often that one should NOT judge the quality of the graphics with a computer monitor, but that is my final destination.
