Creating Credits
by Samuel Boulton on Apr 8, 2009 at 7:18:36 am

Please help!

I have an elementary question that I’m sure has been addressed many times, but please understand, I’m short on time to research the question. I’m currently using LiveType version 2.1.3 and have been creating scroll-up credits with the character name on the top line and the talent name on the bottom, both lines centered.

I would like to create a scroll-up credits with the character name on the left, flushed right and the talent name on the right, flushed left, all on the same line. I’m trying to accomplish the effect of having scrolling credits that appears to has a center margin between the character name and the talent name. How can I accomplish this by using LiveType?

Your immediate assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Sam Boulton

If you entered scrolling credits in the search function on this forum, you would see hundreds of times this question has been answered. The answer is to use Boris Titler in FCP. Trying to use LT for scrolling credits is NOT recommended. If you have to do it in LT. You would use two layers, on for the right justified and one for the left justified.
