I've edited a show and I'm using the Ovals lower third object (business) category for my lower thirds in FCP.
I went to make a slight change by editing it in editor and the blue bar under the text disappears in FCP. It's there in Livetype but not showing up in my timeline. If I render a movie first it shows up. This worked for my whole show until now. Any thoughts?

Yes, here's a thought. Make sure you have Render Background checked in the LiveType Project Preferences (Command Zero).

Thanks, it's not checked. I thought if it was checked, the black background that the whole title and blue bar is over would appear as well in FCP. Am I wrong?

Make sure that the Opacity is set to 0% (right above the Render Background button). Black in LiveType is the same as transparent (unless the Opacity is set above 0
