1. If I type in a line and want to move that to the top of the page, for example, how can I do that without risking moving it left or right. Is there a way to lock x-axis movement?
2. Related to this, how can I move a line of text to place it on the screen in a precise position. This is an issue when I have several "pages" that all have the same Main Title. Below that each page would have a separate subtitle. When I change from one page to another I want to be sure those titles line up on the exact same line vertically. Is there anywhere where I can see a box that shows me where I am x,y as I'm moving text?

1. Use the Offset X or Y in the Attributes tab. Ot hold down the Shift key and drag.
2. There are a number of ways of aligning text. You can use the grid or rulers with movable guides, or if you are duplicating position, just duplicate the text track and change the text on the duplicated track and move it to it's proper place in the timeline.

Thanks Sjon.
I did actually do one of the things most guys don't do, (the other being looking at a map for directions), I read the manual and found the "shift" tip. The other suggestions you made were very helpful.
Thanks a bunch!
