Stuttered Textures

Hello,
I been using Live Type's texture in work being done in FCP 5 and it appears that when I render they always play back like they are staggering. It's not a fluid playback of the texture like when I preview them in the Live Type Browser. Does this sound like a familiar problem to anyone.

No, unless some settings are wrong or you haven't rendered the texture in FCP. LT outputs a movie rendered in the animation codec. It will not play smoothly until it has been rendered in FCP in the dDV-NTSC codec. You can save yourself a render by just dragging the icon from the Canvas window (which appears after you save the LT project) directly into the FCP timeline. But you will still need to render it.

Yeah. This is what I do with the 'roundtripping' scenario of using Live Type with FCP 5. Drag the LT icon from the LT timeline and Command + Tab over to FCP and dropping the icon into the FCP timeline. I render the FCP timeline and get the stuttering.
For example, I mostly shoot in 24Advanced using my DVX100A and create a 24p Advance Timeline (23.98) with Advanced Pulldown in Final Cut Pro. So, when setting up Project Setting in Live Type do I need to set the Project Properties - Preset to NTSC-DV and the Frame Rate at 23.98 instead of 29.97?

If you set the render to DV-NTSC, you will lose your alpha channel. If you are working at 23.97 in FCP, it would make sense to set the frame rate in LT to 23.97, but keep the animation codec.
