file naming on export
by Bob Cole on Oct 31, 2009 at 8:08:21 pm

Under Preferences/Export, I replaced the default for file naming with #SN - #BN - #DS.

But I only get the source name and block name; the number of seconds does not appear. What's up?

A suggestion: it would be extra cool if the file could automatically carry over the selected "Mood" as well.

another export suggestion/question
by Bob Cole on Oct 31, 2009 at 9:38:38 pm

It would be neat if the export process could, by default, place the file in the last directory used. That way, if you have a project folder for a given video, each time you generated a song, it would land in the proper folder without your having to navigate to it.

(using Express Track)

Hello Bob,

Express Track actually should remember the last save location during a session. This should be corrected in the next update.

Frank

Re: file naming on export

Hello Bob,

The file naming option under the Preferences menu currently only applies when you export the individual segments as separate files. For example if you select a single-layer track and place it on the timeline, then select it and use the Smart Razor on it, then highlight all of the resulting segments and choose File>Export Soundtrack/Video, you will see that it will apply the customized file names to each segment.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will pass it on to the dev team.

Regards,
Frank
