Anyone know the procedure for "backing down" the QT version to a previous one?

QuickTime is a CORE component of the OS you will need to archive and install your OS.

Why do you want to go to an older version of QuickTime anyway?

There are no "technical solutions" to your "artistic problems".
Don't let technology get in the way of your creativity!
