Greetings Everyone.
I know everybody's seen ads like this before, and heres another one.
We are building a network of videographers across the country. The videographers will be shooting and editing short business profile videos for a wide variety of companies. By joining the network, you will be offered shoots that are needed for your location. What this means is that by joining, you may or may not ever hear from us, but if we have a shoot, we will call.
We do not require any specific equipment or specific cameras, as long as it is of decent quality (3-chip, or a nice CMOS). You need to have a good tripod tripod, and most importantly, a good microphone (lavalier, shotgun).
For editing, we don't care if it's FCP, Vegas, Premier......heck it could be iMovie if your really good at it. As long as the video can look and sound professional, we're happy.
So, if your interested in joining our list and getting calls if we have a shoot in your area, just send us a quick e-mail with a description of who you are, where you are, and a link to your work. The e-mail to send to is:

Hi guys.
I understand what you are saying, but those prices and products you are seeing on that site have nothing to do with the current project. The current project is for business profiles where you will make more than the price of the real estate offering for projects that only take a couple hours to do.
The reason we need videographers across the country is that we have recently signed a deal with a company that has clients across the country.

Perhaps, but what is there to lose? If somebody signs up and never gets a call, who loses? I have signed up for many of these in the past, most have never panned out. Two of them have, and they have been very profitable. One was TurnHere, the other was E•Locallink.

Under the circumstances you posted, using the link you supplied, your post belongs in the no/low pay forum. Anything else is pure speculation in every sense of the word.

It definitely does not. If we call you for a job that takes 1-2 hours to shoot and an hour to edit, and we pay you $300 that is not low or no pay. Since different projects are going to be worth different pay, and not everything is finalized, I can't give an exact amount.
However, since I do know that anyone asked to do a project will be paid well, it definitely belongs here.
However, please feel free to explain why it belongs in the low/no category. Furthermore, I didn't supply a link. Somebody used my e-mail to go to a .com that has nothing to do with this project, it just happened to be the e-mail I used for cataloguing the incoming e-mails.

Hi Ray,
I just read your post. I live in Sydney and would like to join your list.
I have been in the television business for 5 years, working as a journalist/cameraman/director/editor for several television production companies, among which Endemol (Southern Star).
Since I moved from Amsterdam to Sydney in January 2009, I have filmed and edited business videos, reports on Sydney events and weddings. I also started My Ozzie Life, a company that makes personal films of the daily life of expats and immigrants. So they can show their familiy overseas what their lives in Australia look like (http://www.myozzielife.com).
I own a Sony HVR Z5E camera, a Sennheiser wireless microphone and I use Final Cut Express for editing.
Please call me on 040 5272682 for any questions or bookings.
