Photography Assistant
Location: Sandpoint, ID
General Summary
The Photography Assistant assists in photographing apparel, jewelry, accessories, hardgoods both on and off-figure to ensure that the best, the most innovative, and the most compelling product representation is captured. These product images will be used in Retail, Catalog, Web and other photography channels. The Photography Assistant works closely with the Photographer and the Stylist. The Photography Assistant also supports the photography team through the preparation and organization of equipment, set creation, image management, and team collaboration.
Essential Functions:
Cleans, maintains and calibrates cameras and monitors.
Maintains file management system including naming, saving, organizing, and archiving images.
Assists photographer in propping, lighting and capture of images.
Moves equipment and props to maintain studio production flow.
Organizes and maintains photography equipment, tools and expendable inventories.
Copies images to servers, removable media, prepress house, and/or clients for saving, transferring and archiving.
Works closely with team members and functional partners to insure accurate delivery of image files.
Contributes and keeps current on industry standards and advancements, technology standards and innovations, and new techniques.
Builds and strikes sets and props as necessary.
Helps maintain and improve photography workflows.
Organizes, cleans and maintains the studios.
Edits image files as necessary.
Interviews new photography studio candidates.
Excellent creativity and a good eye for space, design, texture, and color balance.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve digital issues with the cameras, backs and other equipment.
Documenting daily shot counts.
Maintains and update Disktracker.
Assists in training new photo assistants.
Job Specifications:
College or technical degree in Photography or related field.
Experience in SinarBron, Leaf, Profoto, and Canon equipment preferred.
Experience in Capture One, Leaf Capture, Lightroom, PhotoShop, Disktracker, InDesign, and Microsoft Office preferred.
Intermediate knowledge of both digital and traditional photography.
Working knowledge of design, color, props and lighting.
Working knowledge of women’s apparel, fashion, and home details.
Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with team members.
Ability to meet deadlines of prioritized work and work effectively on multiple tasks at one time.
Organized.
Ability to problem solve creatively.
Must exemplify high integrity and be willing to stand for quality.
Ability to follow directions.
Ability to work in a flexible, dynamic work environment.
Ability to stand on feet, walk, stoop, reach, kneel, climb, and bend during a full 8-hour shift.
Ability to lift 40 lbs and more.

Hi,
Excuse me for my bad english,
I’m a sharp, 27 year old, italian boy.
I love the art of photograpy and I want learn all is secret to become a professional photograph so i’m searching a job inherent in photography.
In Italy is very difficult find it, because usually is hand down from father to son and my father is insurance agent...
I shot whit a Nikon D300, 50mm, 17-80mm, 70-300mm and 60mm Micro.
I use well Microsoft Office, Adobe Indesig, Photoshop CS4, third party brushes and filter (All Nik’s plugin), Lightroom 2, Capture NX2, Filterforge and Gimp.
I’m experienced in hardware assembly and troubleshooting.
I rally interested to your Ad and I ready to leave my city and my state for this job (not is a problem, I don't have a girlfriend)
The trouble is find a cheap furnished flat near your studios.
