America's preeminent public broadcasting producer, the source of fully one-third of PBS's prime-time lineup, is seeking a Director for its Production Services department. WGBH relocated to new headquarters and technical facilities in 2007. Production Services operates and manages the WGBH television studios, provides staffing for remote productions, and provides post production, tape duplication & ingest services for an internal and external clientele.
The Director of Production Services has overall authority for the management of these facilities and personnel. Responsibilities include: marketing and sales of services; management of the TV studios, scenic and event services, audio and video post production, duplication, eval & ingest services. The Director of Production Services reports to the Vice President/CTO and supervises a team of operations managers, NABET engineers, and scheduling staff. Responsible for maintaining a working environment that leverages the potential and diversity of the department's entire staff.
