VFX Supervisor - Glendale, CA

Emmy-nominated visual effects boutique specializing in historical recreations and motion graphics seeks responsible, energetic VFX Supervisor for upcoming television and film projects. This is a project-based hire with strong potential for rollover.
Must know the visual effects process from start to finish and be able to provide creative solutions to improve workflow and production value. Must be comfortable with Maya, AE, Mental Ray, Renderman, and render pipelines. MEL or Python experience a plus. At least 4 years of production experience required.
Desired Qualifications:
-Innate sense of composition, light and color and excellent attention to detail.
-Ability to work under and meet tight deadlines.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to lead within a strong team environment; willingness to share his/her knowledge.
-Extensive on-set supervision experience.
-Skilled in seamlessly integrating live action elements into full-CG environments, as well as CG elements into live action plates.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Perform tasks associated with lighting, shading and rendering processes.
-Prioritize artist tasks, enhance creative and technical skills of team members.
-Supervise and review team’s work at all stages of completion.
-Perform active roll in planning of productions and set supervision.
