Final Cut Pro Freelance Editors Needed

Edit Creations, a small but growing boutique post house in Burr Ridge (a 25 minute drive from downtown Chicago off of I-55) is looking to build its list of FCP freelance editors. All applicants should have at least 5 years of work experience, consider themselves highly skilled at FCP and the supporting suite of apps, including LiveType, Motion, Compressor and DVDSP. Being Apple certified on FCP is a big plus but not required. You must also have experience with Photoshop and AfterEffects.
Editors with a strong background in graphic design and compositing will be considered first.
In addition to knowing the right tools, you should have broad experience cutting a variety of different projects, and be familiar with different styles of editing. Our projects are generally long form, and include broadcast, corporate, promotional, documentaries, and sales videos. We are not a spot house, but do the occasional spot or PSA.
Excellent interpersonal skills are a must. You should be able to work with a variety of different clients, know how to handle difficult and stressful situations without losing your cool, and work well with others in the office. Great personality, sense of humor and being easy going all great plusses. We take pride in every job that we do, and you should as well.
We're looking for editors that are also collaborative, and can work with the producer to help determine the look, feel, pace style, etc... on any given job. You should feel like you bring something to the edit, other than just the technical skills to run the equipment.
We have a busy schedule of projects starting in March and need a short list of strong qualified people to help out.
