FREE Universal Binary and Adobe CS3 compatibility updates available shortly
by digieffectsrobert on Jul 25, 2007 at 11:41:10 pm

Hi all,

We've been working on a compatibility update and hope to release it shortly (end of summer is the goal). It will be a FREE update providing native Mac Intel Universal Binary support for Delirium, Aurorix, Berserk, Fantasm and Euphoria.

What about Cinelook for AE CS3 and Mac Intel? You don't mention it here, and I need it!

Hi Suzanne,

Cinelook has a v2.5 updater that makes it compatible with CS3 and Mac Intel. It can be downloaded for free at http://www.digieffects.com/downloads/C2/DE_CL_UB_CD020107a.pkg.zip.

Best regards,

Robert

Robert,

I installed Cinelook, but it's not showing up in AE. I followed the instructions in the read me file, and no Cinelook filters in AE. I thought perhaps the plugins needed to go in the Adobe/Common folder as do Trapcode and BCC, so I tried that location and it didn't work either.

Do you have any idea what might me wrong?

Thanks for the help.

Hi Suzanne,

The Cinelook plugin folder goes inside the "Plug-ins" folder in AE. Also, if you rename any of our components or the "Applications" folder, they won't load.

I hope this helps,

Robert

That's exactly where I put them, and I haven't renamed my "Applications" folder.

After the DigiEffects folder with plugins is installed in my Applications folder, I moved the "DE_CineLookOSXUB" folder into my AE CS3 "Plug-ins" folder. That didn't work, CineLook isn't showing up in AE CS3. I then tried moving them back to the DigiEffects folder in the Applications folder and putting an alias into the plug-ins folder (as the Genarts Sapphire plugins work), but that also did not work.

Can you tell me what else to try?

Thanks!

Robert,

The new installer worked and my Cinelook 2 is back in action! Thanks so much for the help. Cinelook 2.5 rocks with some unique effects that noone else has and I'm thrilled to get it working with Mac Intel and CS3!

(And just an F.Y.I. for everyone else out there, the installer has the same name, but it IS a new installer.)

Thank you,

Suzanne

support isn't the problem, information is the problem. The downloads page says nothing about compatibility but the v3 Aurorix won't run in CS3 and it requires buying a serial number if I put it in AE7.

I'm so-o-o-0 confused.

Hi again Bogiesan,

You're right, we need better info on the site!

If you already own our product but don't have a serial number (the former method of serialization required a CD) send "support@digieffects.com" an email and we'll issue you a serial number.

Robert
