"The wrong flavor of color finesse...

... please install the correct version for After Effects". A Message like this appears always when I use the Media Encoder (PP CS4). I reinstalled it 2x now, but this message always pops up.

It had worked for several months, without any problems. But i needed a new installation. Is there any solution for this problem?

thx
Uwe

A couple of things to check:

- Make sure you're running the latest version of Color Finesse, 2.1.11. Earlier versions had an issue with AME CS4.

- Make sure you're using the correct installer for compatibility with Premiere Pro: the PI installer for AE/PPro. The LE version, or the "Misc" installer will give you the error message you're seeing.

- If none of that helps, check to be sure you're running the version of Color Finesse you think you are. For example, you might have multiple versions installed, and Premiere Pro is picking up the wrong version (the LE version, say) from the common plugins folder, ignoring the correct version you installed into the Plug-ins\en_US folder.

Thanks Bob. The version was the problem. I still worked with 2.1.8. Now with 2.1.11 everything is fine...
