Color Finesse in Premiere Pro
by John Stanowski on Oct 1, 2009 at 7:09:27 pm

I heard or read somewhere that with a small fee, I would be able to use Color Finesse (bundled with AE CS4) in Premiere Pro. But I don't see anything on the site about it. Is this possible? If so, how do I order? And how do I get Color Finesse into Premiere? Do I need to move the copy I have now, or download something? Thanks.

The version of Color Finesse bundled with CS4 is our "LE" version, which is for use within After Effects only.

To use Color Finesse in other host applications (Premiere Pro, FCP, etc.) you need to have the "PI" version of Color Finesse.

We offer a discounted upgrade from LE to PI. You can find all of the various upgrade paths we offer at:

http://www.synthetic-ap.com/cfupgrade

The basic LE-to-PI upgrade is $375. It's on our order form; just click on the "Color Finesse Upgrades from After Effects 6.5/7.0/CS3/CS4 Bundle" link at the top of the page. You'll need to enter your current serial number on the order form, right below the LE-to-PI upgrade items.

Once you've purchased the PI serial number you can download the installer from the Downloads section of our web site. You can install the PI version into both After Effects and Premiere Pro.
