CF2 Requires QT 7.0.2 or later

I'm getting "Color Finesse 2 requires QuickTime 7.0.2 or later. Please update QuickTime and try again" when I try to open the full interface. This appears have started happening when after the last QT update (7.6.4). I've tried to find an older version of QT on the apple site to test this theory but couldn't find one. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Bob!

Going back to QT 7.6.2 fixed the problem... maybe they deprecated some API methods you guys are using. FYI I'm on Vista 64, I guess they could have made QT 7.6.4 64 bit which also may have changed registry paths. Hope that helps you track down the problem.

The same problem has come to me when you update iTunes to version 9.0.0.70. Is it possible to somehow fix it?. Thanks

We expect an update (2.1.11) which will resolve this to be available late this week.

In the meantime, if you're stuck and are willing to use a beta version, send an email to us via support "at" synthetic-ap "dot" com and we'll send you a link as soon as the beta is available--hopefully this afternoon 9/22.

And be aware that this is an Apple bug in the new QuickTime which affects many applications which use QuickTime for Windows. So, even with the updated Color Finesse, you may see other apps failing until Apple releases an update which fixes the root problem.

Oh, this beta also resolves the issues with PAL mode and disappearing waveform graticules.

This issue with QuickTime for Windows 7.6.4 is resolved by the 2.1.11 update to Color Finesse.
