Can I achieve this look with only Particular?

Hello, is Particular sufficient for the level of detail like in this vid? Are there any templates I can purchase, or maybe some guides? Thanks

Sure, that would be no problem for particular. I dont know of a template you could purchase, but I would use a Motion Path light and then create a ton of random sized particles with flashing opacity in the opacity over life graph and some good dof.

try out this file to get you started. It uses CS6 and particular 2. You can add a glow to make it integrate better.

Thanks for asking.

We were short on time, so I didn't have a chance to implement this effect, but we're planning on doing additional versions and I'll try to use it there :)
