disappearing particle

disappearing particle

i'm having problems with 1 or 2 particles disappearing as they fall downward. i've searched the forum and purged the image cache and my layers line up, so i'm not sure what the problem is. the particle life is significantly longer than the comp, so that shouldn't be the issue. the odd thing is that most of the particles are fine, there are just a couple that disappear rather than fall through the frame. any suggestions are most appreciated. thanks.

Perhaps it's a clipping issue. Particles sometimes disappear when Particular cannot calculate their Z-position. This usually happens when the camera is too close to the emitter or the camera has an unsuitable FOV setting. Try to move your emitter or your camera just a tiny bit, aybe it solves the problem. Also turn on motion blur with subframe sampling mode - because particles are sampled over multiple frames, they suddenly may reappear and render correctly.
