Time remapping sound keys
by Nixonnoxin on Nov 10, 2005 at 1:46:54 am

Im trying to make a layers time remapping respond to sound keys. What I need is the layer to start playing when sound key gets a signal and then return to frame 0 when the sound disappears. Anyone?

This is quite close to the advisory we posted earlier:
http://www.trapcode.com/US_SK_advisory.html

But in this case, if you mean to start a linear playback at the original framerate during a certain sound, I really cannot see how the patent could apply. However I'm not sure exactly how to set it up - I'm not sure it's even possible. I'll let you know if I can think of a solution. You could use a certain sound to trigger a playback, but it would have to play a certain (fixed) amount of frames and then go back to 0. And the playing would not start until after the sound has triggered (when the trig signal goes down to 0).
