 | Place an image on a NURBS surface
by Steven Probets on May 7, 2012 at 4:38:53 pm |
As the title suggests. I have a PSD file I want to place on a NURBS surface (the model was from an imported CAD file). How do I do this?
Thanks

Well, the logo is a TIFF image with a transparent background. The logo needs to sit on a NURBS flat surface. Thanks in advance. I'm sure it is not as difficult as texturing etc and there must be a simple way...or maybe not? I am relatively new to Maya and dealing with NURBS.

You should just be able to apply a material to the surface, then assign a File Texture node to the Color attribute of that material.

and if the image warps around the surface..
just use a planar map, to reposition the image as you please.

Thanks all. I finally got around to getting to work. It was tricky but I am learning a lot about textures in a very short space of time :)
