Hello I am sorry if this has already been answered before but I am a complete newbie on Maya. I wanted to rotate objects around a central pivot point at 360 degree like creating numerals on a clock.
I know how to do this in max but this MUST be possible to do i Maya yes?

Hi
you can change the pivot of any object by pressing the insert key and moving it, then press again to exit of pivot editing mode, and then rotate your objects

Thanks Alvaro that worked fine.
It rotated around my new pivot but what I wanted was to polar array the object around the pivot say.... 12 times, 360 degrees around the pivot point like you can do in 3ds max

glad that worked, use DUPLICATE SPECIAL options for the duplication
that's under EDIT > DUPLICATE SPECIAL options and set the number of copies
and the degrees each will turn and that's it

Thanks so much, that worked too.... I feel that I have learned something today as I have only just started learning Maya.
Strange because I know it can do all that Max can do.
